Executive Producer

Madison, Wisconsin, United States Full-time

PerBlue is looking for a talented Executive Producer (Product Owner) to join our team. We’re a quickly growing independent studio whose free-to-play midcore mobile games have been played by millions people around the world, including our recently launched Disney Heroes: Battle Mode game.

The Product Owner role, similar to a Senior or Executive Producer, involves leading a game team. You’ll work directly with our Chief Product Officer, overseeing all aspects of the game’s development and/or operations. This includes strategic roadmapping, feature design, project management, game balance, player experience, analytics and most importantly, overall business performance.

Our ideal candidate is driven, responsible, organized, decisive, and a natural leader. You should thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You must be a passionate gamer who understands the RPG and strategy genres overall, and the free-to-play mobile aspects of these genres in particular. You can expect substantial ownership over your title, but also ample support and collaboration with your team and the rest of the studio.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and live operations of a free-to-play RPG or strategy title

  • Lead a cross-functional team of people to deliver a successful title on time and on budget

  • Artfully integrate business and player goals: fun and monetization; innovation and predictability

  • Use business intelligence tools to drive acquisition, retention and monetization

  • Manage day-to-day game development using project management skills and agile development tools

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Several years in a lead or ownership role building and operating successful free-to-play games, mobile preferred but not required

  • Strong grasp of free-to-play game economies and monetization

  • Experience with mid/hardcore game genres and mechanics (esp. RPG  & strategy)

  • Solid understanding of how to build and operate a game as a live service

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Specific technical expertise in a particular product area (e.g. design, monetization, production, engineering, UX, etc.)

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Game Design, Business, Economics, Psychology, Engineering or other relevant field
